All I can see is Heath Ledger dancing down those bleachers singing ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’. Okay, now I’m swooning. I’m pretty sure I was more in love with him than Usher back in the day, and that’s saying something.
Anyway, here’s a ranty post about things that piss me off. It’s very generalised and not targeted at anyone. They’re my pet peeves, reasons I don’t gravitate towards these kind of people, or whatevs.
- Lying
I’m just not about it, you’ll always be found out in the end. It doesn’t make you big or clever, it makes you untrustworthy and I don’t need that kind of person in my life. - Blackmailing
Oh, you’ll tell others that thing about me I’m ashamed of if I don’t do what you want? Nah, mate, do one. I’ll tell them myself. You aren’t my executioner, I won’t jump every time you want something because I’m afraid of what you might do. Laters. - Patronising
I don’t know if it’s because I use a wheelchair, am a woman, or a northerner, but some people tend to talk to me like I’m uneducated. Maybe it’s none of those things, maybe you’re just a patronising, pretentious, prick (like the alliteration there?) either way, do not belittle me. - Rude
There’s just no need for it; especially if you’re rude to waiters/waitresses, you just look like an ultimate dickhead. - Over-sharing
I always feel uncomfortable if I’ve just met someone and they begin to tell me the ins and outs of their life. I remember meeting a girl and the first thing she told me was her mum was cheating on her partner. Erm, okay, love, what am I meant to say to that? - Being late
Now, I’m the first to admit I’m bad at time-keeping but I’m usually five minutes late at the most. If you continuously make me wait for more than half an hour, I’m not going to bother. My time is just as valuable as yours. - Not indicating
Holy shit, nothing makes me swear more in the car than people not indicating. They’re on cars for a reason, it’s not difficult, use them. - Argumentative
If you live for a fight and want to continually take everything I say out of context to start a row, I haven’t got time for it, or you. - Impoliteness
It takes a second to use your manners. And I’m one of those people that will hold a door for someone and call ‘thank you’ after them if the person doesn’t acknowledge me. My nan and mum said to my brother and I growing up, ‘you were brought up with manners, use them,’ so yeah, use them. - Close-mindedness
If you’re not receptive to other peoples ideas, opinions, beliefs, you’re not someone I want to be around. I’m all for people standing up for what they believe in but if you’re unwilling to enter into a healthy debate and understand other peoples point of view it makes things very difficult. For example, if I call you out on your ableism and you disregard what I say and can’t see how it’s harmful, I’ll probably wash my hands with you.
What are your pet peeves?
Sweet Jesus people not indicating drives me mental. It's so dangerous, especially on a roundabout.
Me and you are so on par with each other hahaha, I hate lateness if it's 5 mins like you said that's fine but making me watch ages just makes me anxious xx
I love this post!

Omg isn't it so frustrating!? x
I just won't wait, unless I'm at a hospital appointment or something, obviously haha x
Thank you x
I'm so on board with the over-sharing thing. They don't even give you time to decide if you like them or not and they are dumping their life story on you. I don't think so, sugar.
Urgh, I know right? I can't handle it x
