I know we’re in Autumn and everybody is talking about berry, vampy lip colours (and I’ll get to it, that post is coming soon) but as much as I love them, I have a deep, passionate love for nudes. I gravitate to them, I hear them whispering sweet nothings as I pass a beauty counter, I can’t resist, so I thought I’d share my Top 10 high-end nude lipsticks.
I picked out these ten shades because I believe them to be true neutrals, some are peach toned, others brown and the occasional pink. Who doesn’t love a nude lip? Being pale as pale can be, I’m very cautious when it comes to nude lipsticks but these are all awesome and I look like I’ve actually made an effort (and not dead).
Clinique Pop Lip Colour – Beige Pop | £16 | Clinique |
The Clinique Pop lipsticks are a colour and primer in one – they are intensely hydrating, comfortable to wear and come in a range of gorgeous colours. They have a high-impact opaqueness with one swipe and they’re so lightweight and creamy. The primer works to create a smooth canvas and even application so the colour doesn’t settle into any lines or cracks in the lips. Beige Pop is my idea of a perfect pink-nude and as I love everything about the Clinique Pop Lips, I had to add it to my favourites.
Mac Lipstick – Honeylove, Myth, Modesty, Creme Cup | £15.50 | Mac |
Only four Mac lipsticks made it to my Top Ten, (although I’m pretty sure I could have added a few more) as I wanted a variety of brands. What can I say about Mac lipsticks that you don’t already know? They’re little black bullets of perfection and I can never get enough.

Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick – Noble | $21 | Sephora |
Noble is a matte soft pink nude that pulls slightly more peach on my skin tone. It’s not an overly drying formula like some matte lipsticks can be, it’s quite velvety, although it does begin to feel quite dry after a couple of hours of wearing…but it’s a matte lipstick so I’m okay with that. Noble is pigmented, opaque and doesn’t tug on the lips during application. It’s only available at Sephora and although I really like it, I wouldn’t go making a Sephora order just for this as the shipping to the UK isn’t cheap.
Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick – Kimchi Doll | £11.50 | Beauty Bay |
Hooray, Gerard Cosmetics is now easily attainable in the UK; I made all my orders from their website which is based in the U.S. but all is well in the world now because they’re sold at Beauty Bay. When I first tried Kimchi Doll, I was in two minds as it’s a really light peach nude and I wasn’t sure whether it suited me but I tried it a few times with different lip liners and I love it. Kimchi Doll is a satin finish with a long-lasting formula that is not drying.

Nars Audacious Lipstick – Brigitte, Raquel | £24 | Nars |
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know my obsession with the Nars Audacious lipsticks; if you’re new to my blog – I’m obsessed with Nars, I can’t help it. I’ve added more to the collection since then). Long-lasting, opaque, satin gorgeousness – I can’t rave about them enough. They’re perfection.

Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipstick – Bitch Perfect | £23 | Charlotte Tilbury |
My first Charlotte Tilbury lipstick I ever bought was Bitch Perfect…do you hear that? I think that’s angels singing in the distance. Bitch Perfect is a light coral with pink undertones that glides effortlessly onto the lips as it’s such a creamy consistency. I love everything about this lipstick, the formula, the packaging, the name of the shade.
So there’s my Top Ten nude lipsticks, what are your favourite nudes?
