If you read many blogs or follow many bloggers, you’ll have seen this perfume or the original Si floating around. I must admit, I’m a perfume-aholic. Yes, hello, my name’s Sarah and I’m addicted to perfume. I have quite a few in my collection, and wasn’t actually intending on picking this up. However, I won it in a Twitter giveaway with Escentual, so yay!
If you saw my review of Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb, you’ll know that I really like pretty, floral scents, and this is up there with my favourites. It is marketed as a tribute to the rose, and there’s absolutely no denying how beautiful the rose notes are. The combination of freesia and rose make this perfume so sweet, girly and flirty. The scent lasts all day and I can still smell it the day after; I love it when a scent lingers, there’s nothing worse than having a perfume that looks and smells incredible, but it only lasts on the skin for a few hours. Due to the lasting scent, there is something really sexy and seductive about Si Rose.
The perfume contains two types of rose, Rose Damascus and Rose Centifolia; it has top notes of iris, freesia, and blackcurrant extract, whilst containing base notes of musk and pure vanilla. If you read my blog, you’ll know my all-time favourite scents include rose, vanilla and musk – I just love them so this is perfection in a bottle.
I also love the packaging, the peach satin sash adds a prettiness to the bottle whilst clearly distinguishing it from the original Si. If you haven’t smelled this or the original, I highly suggest you do, you won’t be disappointed. I think Armani Si Rose is going to be my Spring scent, for sure.
