December has definitely been the month for palettes; well, at least for me it has, and I’m not complaining as I absolutely love an eye shadow palette.

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette – The Vintage Vamp | £38 | Charlotte Tilbury |
                                                        The Sophisticate | £38 | Charlotte Tilbury |

I’ve lusted after a Charlotte Tilbury quad for a while, so when my brother asked what I wanted for Christmas, I immediately directed him to the CT website. Lucky for me, I didn’t have to wait until the 25th to receive it and I’ve been playing around with both quads for the majority of December. They are both incredibly high quality and require hardly any effort to blend. The Vintage Vamp contains warm, red/burgundy toned shadows with a gold glittery shade and a pale lavender-pink shimmer shade. The Sophisticate comes with four neutral, earthy-coloured matte shadows that are great for everyday wear. I’m really impressed with the pigmentation and so glad I finally own some CT shadows. They were definitely worth the wait.

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette | £40 | Urban Decay |

This was another present from my little brother (thank you, Daz), and I’m in awe. It contains fifteen eye shadows in absolutely gorgeous packaging; the outside reminds me of Connect Four, it’s so sleek. It contains very neutral shades with a few pops of colour on the bottom row – this is apparently due to Gwen Stefani’s personal taste, as she tends to go for a wearable eye-look paired with a bold lip. I love the quality of the shadows, and even the brights (Harajuku – pink; Danger – blue) are amazingly pigmented. I highly recommend this palette; if you’re on the fence about buying it, take the plunge.

Tarte Tartelette 2 In Bloom Palette | £31.68 | QVC |

The new twelve-piece eye shadow palette from Tarte is so beautiful, I mean, look at that packaging. Tarte are always on point with packaging but this is just stunning. As soon as I heard that there was going to be a new Tartelette palette, I knew I had to add it to my collection, as the first Tartelette palette is one of my favourites. Unlike that, this is much more warm-toned with browns, taupes and creams, containing both matte and shimmer shades. I wore Firecracker (bronze/copper) all over my lid on Christmas Day and it looked beautiful and lasted until I removed it that evening. If you can get your hands on this, do it. QVC currently have it on offer and you get a double-ended brush with it, bonus.

What did you get for Christmas?

Gorgeous favourites lovely, I am really loving the Gwen Stefani palette and your brother did good 😉 I can’t believe how wearable the palette is as well as I wasn’t sure it would be. The Tartelette palette looks amazing, I think I will have to check QVC out 🙂
