Unlike last month, this month I narrowed my favourites down hella quickly. I’ve pretty much used these products every day (or at least days I’ve worn makeup for the cosmetics) and I’m kinda in love with a few of them; especially that perfume, but we’ll get to that.
This may be the first high street product I’ve featured on my blog for at least a year; I’m a luxury beauty snob, I’ll openly admit it and I don’t really care. So, when my friend bought me this I didn’t have high expectations; however when I swatched the highlighter in it, I nearly collapsed (okay, slight exaggeration). The glow was insane, like intense-beautiful-iridescent-goddess, shine baby, shine. The pigment of this highlighter is amazing and it has great staying power. I use it on the top of my cheekbones, my cupids bow, my inner-corner; I’d dust it all over my face if I felt like becoming a beacon of hope, but I haven’t got time for that. For £3.50, go out, buy this, buy five of them, just for the highlighter. As for the bronzer and blush, they’re lovely too. The bronzer is a little too orange for me so when I do use it (and it’s not often) I use a very light hand. The blush has a sheen to it and is great as a topper if you’re going all out for the glow. But my main love is for that highlighter – I can’t get enough.
When Benefit were shipping out their new brow products in various magazines, I went on the hunt and managed to nab them all. Ready, Set, Brow is easily my favourite. It’s literally cement for your brows. I’ve never used a setting product for my eyebrows as I’ve never really needed one but now that I’ve used this, I can’t get enough. It might as well be glue; your brows will not move once you apply this. If you have unruly eyebrows or just want to keep them in place, I highly suggest you check this out. And the new packaging is adorbs too.
I’m absolutely obsessed with this perfume. I smelled it back in July when it was released and after a few weeks of constantly looking at it online, I bit the bullet and bought myself a little present. The second it got here, I ripped open the packaging and spritzed myself in this heavenly scent. And I’ve worn it every day since. It’s such a sexy, sweet fragrance that can be worn for any occasion. The notes include, White Musk (one of my faves), Patchouli (another favourite), Bergamot, Strawberry, Raspberry and White Peony, amongst others. I have a feeling I’ll continually repurchase Mon Paris as it’s stunning. Just look at the bottle, so gorgeous.
I’ve been really impressed with these Spectrum brushes that I had to include three of them in my favourites (I have a full review coming next week, so keep a look out for that). I love the A05 angled blush brush, it’s the perfect size to apply product to the apples of the cheeks and sweep back. Then the B04 – angled blender, and B06 – tapered blending eye brushes are bloody marvellous. Obviously unicorn brushes are going to be magical.
Mandara Spa Body Butter – Ylang Ylang & Coconut, Lime & Coconut* | £6 | Time to Spa |
I don’t know about you, but during the Summer I use up body butter like there’s no tomorrow. The hot weather sucks the moisture out of my skin so I’ll do anything to add some hydration. Since using these Mandara Spa body butters, my skin has felt so nourished and smooth. They’re both extremely hydrating and melt into the skin seamlessly. Have I mentioned the scent? Think luxurious, exotic; think Bali, Hawaii. As soon as the lid is open you’re transported to paradise in your own home. You’ll definitely feel like you’ve been to an expensive spa after applying this. Go check them out, you won’t be disappointed.
What have you been loving in August?

LOVE these posts-I totally did one inspired by you 🙂 LOOOOOVE Makeup Revolution, I just got one of their blush palettes. Its beautiful and it was only 10$!! Im really excited to try other products by them! I used to be really into higher end makeup but I have found that theres a lot of amazing drugstore products. As a makeup artist, I actually have a good bit of drugstore makeup in my kit. I would check out Morphe and Colourpop for amazing "cheap" makeup 🙂 http://www.shipwithnosails.com
