Since I’ve been growing my hair (almost three years, I don’t know how I’ve had the patience) I’ve tried out so many different hair products to see which I love and will continue buying and which I despise and will never look at again. Paul Mitchell hair care is something I’ll definitely be adding to my ‘love’ list.
Paul Mitchell Ultimate Repair Color Shampoo 250 ml | £17.50 | Paul Mitchell |
Paul Mitchell Ultimate Repair Color Conditioner 200 ml | £17.95 | Paul Mitchell |
I’ve decided to review these together as I don’t use one without the other. These products are both made with quinoa which helps lock in colour whilst repairing every strand, and keeps colour vibrant for up to nine weeks. As someone who dyes their hair, I’m all for products that help maintain my colour. I’ve not dyed my hair for almost eight weeks and my colour is still going strong, so I think it’s fair to say this shampoo/conditioner combo does what it says on the tin (it’s not a tin but you get this gist). The other thing I’ve noticed since using these products is how silky soft my hair is. Now, I’m not talking normal soft hair after you’ve used any conditioner, it’s like cashmere. It’s glossy, shiny, and incredibly silky – I can’t get enough. The conditioner is so moisturising and a de-tangler, so after washing there’s no brushing through knots as there is none. Although the price is a little steep, it’s so worth it because both the shampoo and conditioner are amazing.
Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Daily Boost 250 ml | £16.25 | Paul Mitchell |
I’ve used so many root lifters over the years and I’ve liked a lot and loved a few, until now. If you want to add extra volume to your hair, you need this. You spray it on your roots after washing, on damp hair and blow-dry. I suggest lifting the hair and blasting the roots with your hairdryer for an added lift. I have thick, heavy hair and have noticed a huge difference since using this product. Give me that bouncy, voluminous hair!
Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Finishing Spray 300 ml | £14.95 | Paul Mitchell |
This hair spray adds volume and shine to your hair. It has a strong hold that isn’t sticky and brushes out easily. I really like it to tame my baby fly-away hairs, whilst finishing my style and keeping it looking good all day.
Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Texturising Sea Spray | £20.50 | Paul Mitchell |
I have to admit I’ve not used this product as much as the other four because I really don’t like anything ginger scented/flavoured. However the three times I have used it, I’ve been really impressed as it created gorgeous beachy waves without going to the beach. I wish I could get over the scent because it’s an amazing product but ginger isn’t for me.
If you fancy treating yourself to some luxury hair care, I highly recommend you check out what Paul Mitchell has to offer, there’s so many different products for all hair types and if going by these five is anything, they’re pretty awesome.
Have you tried any Paul Mitchell hair products?Disclaimer: I was sent these items free of charge in exchange for an honest review. I received no payment for this post and all opinions are 100% my own.
It's such an iconic brand and every time I buy a product from Paul Mitchell i'm reminded how fantastic the results are. Thanks for the review 🙂
