Every two weeks I go for a Gel or Shellac manicure. My disability takes its toll on my hands and I can’t maintain my nails anymore which is a real nuisance. However, I really like the salon environment and when I have my nails done, I feel a bit more put together. I spend the majority of my life in my pyjamas so having a manicure not only makes my fingers look pretty but it gets me out of the house.

I love pastel nails for Spring – so vibrant and fun but you can’t go wrong with black; it goes with everything and the little skulls are just awesome, it makes the alternative girl inside very happy. I feel a coral or periwinkle blue coming on next.

My pedicure was lovely, I haven’t had one in a long time as lifting my leg onto the beauticians, over and over really hurts but I treated myself and decided on some swirling/star nail art for a change. (P.S. Do you like my tattoo?)
