Oh my days, how is it August? I feel like it was Christmas two seconds ago, I blinked and now we’re here. I also realise I am sounding more and more like my mother everyday but she’s a babe so I can’t really complain.
Shocker, July has been pretty shitty, just like my previous few months. I’m having a tough time with my health and have completely lost my writing mojo but I’m trying to stay positive and get whatever I can do done. So once again, massive apologies for the lack of content. If you haven’t read it already, check out my post on how I want to write but can’t.
Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Jelly* | £24.99 | Boots |
I have recently fallen back in love with this product. I received it as PR last year and wrote a full review which you can read here. Then a few weeks ago I featured it on my Instagram, so was then sent some more which I was extremely grateful for as I was running low on my jar and I simply can’t get enough of it. The gel consistency absorbs into the skin extremely quickly and doesn’t leave any greasy residue. It’s very hydrating and the ingredients in the product help to reduce inflammation – so goodbye blemishes and redness. The tub is travel-friendly and no product is wasted with the pump dispenser. If you’re on the look out for a new moisturiser, give this a go, it’s so light and does an amazing job.
Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer – Chantilly | £23 | Nars |
I feel like I have been testing out so many concealers recently and I love them all but this little pot is absolutely bloody marvellous. Usually concealers in this form are quite drying and give you cake-face but this works wonders. Not only is it great for covering blemishes (and trust my skin has been having a really hard time recently) but it sits well under the eyes without creasing. It gives a soft matte (obvs) finish and is really full coverage. I don’t find it dries out my skin or fades during the day; it’s long wearing, oil-free, blurs out the skin and looks beautiful. Love. It.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara | £19 | Tarte |
I have had this mascara sitting unopened in my drawer for a while and pulled it out earlier this month and haven’t been able to put it down. I don’t often go for high-end mascaras as I have found some amazing ones on the high street but this and the Too Faced Better Than Sex shall forever be my luxury lash lovers. The length and volume it gives to my lashes is incredible. The product isn’t too liquidy, it doesn’t transfer or flake off, it holds a curl, it separates, it’s just so good. I’m not in love with the packaging but I can let it slide as the formula is fab.
Nars Blush – Impassioned | £23 | Nars |
Have I mentioned how fair I am? Think milk bottle, add long brown hair and some glasses and you’ve got me; this blusher is the most perfect shade for my complexion. It is described as ‘pink orchid’ and I guess it is, but what the fuck kind of colour is that? It’s a muted light pink with a slightly lilac undertone in a matte finish. It’s blendable, buildable, pigmented and long wearing. I’m a huge fan of Nars blushers and this has to be my favourite colour by far.
Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick – Campfire | £16 | Beauty Bay |
My long lost loves have returned to Beauty Bay and as soon as I got the email that they were back in stock I bought three shades. I now wish I’d bought more as they sold out so quickly but hopefully there’ll be another restock soon. If you know my love of liquid lipstick you’ll know I adore Dose of Colors lippies; I recommend them to anyone that will listen and wear them all the time. The formula is one of my favourites, they’re so opaque, so comfortable to wear, don’t transfer, bleed or budge and the colours are stunning.
This one in Campfire is gorgeous. I have a love affair with all orange toned lippies and I had to have this in my life. It’s a stunning deep burnt terracotta shade that is so unusual and will be perfect for Autumn/Winter, although obviously I don’t care about seasonal colours as I’ve worn this a lot in July and shall continue to do so throughout August. I also picked up Stone and Mondaze and I love them too but Campfire has a special place in my heart.

How stunning is that Nars blusher? I've been adamant to get Orgasm, but now looking at Impassioned I can't think of a more beautiful blush (minus the super unhelpful name haha!) , also so great for anyone with paler skin xx
