Whaaa, how are we in February 2017? Scratch that, we’re in 2017, I don’t know about you but even typing that seems weird. So, January run-down, the main thing – I turned 30. Yeah, I know, I only look 22 right? Is that a push? Anyway, I digress, January was extremely exciting. Other than my birthday and my family visiting, I filmed something with BBC3 (I’ll tell you about that another time) and I got all my paperwork ready to move back up north! Yesss.
But, I know you’re here for the makeup, so I’ll shut up about me and get right into this stuff you can put on your face and nails and body.
Make Up For Ever Pro Light Fusion Highlighter – Golden Pink | £26.50 | Debenhams |
If you have fair skin and are looking for a new highlighter, get yourself over to Debenhams and purchase this immediately. It’s a stunning warm pink shade that gives the most beautiful glow to the face whilst being extremely blendable and pigmented. The formula is amazing, it’s buildable and wears for approximately eight hours. I have a full review with swatches here. Go get it and blame me, I don’t mind.
Jo Malone London Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne | £43 | Jo Malone |
I GOT MY FIRST JO MALONE PERFUME! I gave my mum a list of fragrances I wanted and she bought me Wood Sage & Sea Salt on behalf of my four year old nephew (he always gets me a special birthday present). This cologne is so beautiful and the scent lingers for ages, which I’m always looking for in a perfume. Top note: Ambrette seeds. Heart note: Sea Salt. Base note: Sage. I love it.
Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette | £39 | Debenhams |
Isn’t it such a pretty palette? I’ve used this nonstop since getting it and I’m completely in love. I’m such a fan of Too Faced eyeshadow palettes as it is so I knew this wouldn’t disappoint. The majority of the colours are very pigmented and blend easily, I’d just have liked to see a few more peach shades but I’m being a picky cow. Fancy seeing a full review? Click here.
Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish by Rita Ora – Neon Fest | £2.99 | Superdrug |
I have quite a large nail polish collection, especially for someone that religiously gets their nails done by someone else. My disability affects my hands and giving myself a manicure is torture. That combined with nails that grow really quickly is a pain in the arse, or should I say hands? But I enjoy painting my toenails (I hate that word), and I can’t remember a time I’ve not worn varnish on them. I absolutely love the Rimmel polishes, they’re so cheap for such great quality. This shocking pink is really pigmented and lasts on the toes for at least six weeks after two coats (remember I wear it on my toes, so the finger:toe longevity will probably be different). I’ve not experienced any chipping and only remove it because I want a fresh colour on. It’s such a perfect shade for Spring/Summer, I’m loving it.
Coloured Raine Matte Liquid Paint – Sweet Cake | £16 | Beauty Bay |
So, you know I rave about Dose of Colors liquid lipsticks? These are up there with the best of them. I don’t know why I’ve waited so long to try Coloured Raine but trust me, I’m definitely going to be adding more to my collection. Sweet Cake is beautiful terracotta shade, it reminds me of pumpkins and I think it looks really pretty on my pale skin. It’s such a comfortable liquid lipstick that doesn’t fade, transfer or budge at all. It goes on at full opacity with one swipe and dries quickly. I need more *goes on Beauty Bay*
