Yes, well hello there Deciem, you stars. I can’t tell you how excited I was when I got a glimpse of The Ordinary in all it’s glory. The counter is so cool and industrial, the assistant was an absolute babe and we had a chinwag all about the brand. She said nobody she’d spoken to that day had heard of them but I told her I was wearing the Serum foundation – beauty blogger innit? Plug – read my review of The Ordinary foundations here.
Seriously though, the assistant (and I wish I could remember her name) was so sweet and wrote my site address down to check it out (hello, if you’re reading). She was so informative, helpful and genuinely passionate. So happy to have a Deciem stand in HOF.
It was Tony Moly that invited me to the store opening but when I got there the rep at the counter had no idea I was coming. I emailed the PR agency as I was there and they apologised and sent me a goody bag so I can’t complain. I was so intrigued by all the different skincare, especially the masks and I plan on stocking up on them very soon. My goody bag contained that banana sleeping mask and the beige egg which is a tightening, cooling pack, along with a BB Cream that isn’t pictured. Am yet to try them but shall be sure to report back.
So much Pixi to choose from. Kicking myself that I didn’t bring the Hydrating Milky Mist home but it’s only around the corner, I can go and get it this week if I’m desperate. I’ve never tried anything by Pixi so if you have any recommendations, leave them in the comments pretty please.
And then there was every kind of Starskin mask you could wish for. I literally went ape shit buying sheet masks the previous week so once I’ve used them all, I know where I’m heading.
AND lastly, this bloody amazing Stila counter!!! If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know how much I adore Stila and there’s never a decent counter with all their products. But now there is and it’s so clean and sleek, I want to move in. Every swatch on my hand was from this counter and somehow I didn’t buy a thing. Look at those liquid lipsticks *sighs*
I was extremely well behaved and only bought two things, both from The Ordinary and adding up to £9. I don’t actually know what came over me, had someone else taken control of my body? I was in the store for almost three hours and spent less than a tenner. I’m a changed woman. Well, we’ll see how long that lasts.
