I’m dedicating this post to the superwoman that is my Mother. It’s her birthday today so I thought what better time to acknowledge how amazing she is and thank her for everything she does for me.
I wasn’t the easiest child to bring up, I was an angel (obviously), but when I hit 13, my health declined, and I can’t begin to imagine how difficult it was for my family, especially my Mum, to watch me go through everything I have. She spent weeks sleeping in hospitals with me, taking me all over the place, sitting up at night when I was crying in pain – as well as all the motherly things. I’m forever grateful for how much love and support she’s shown me.
Since I moved three hours away last year, we don’t get to see each other as often but I know she’ll be there for me at the drop of a hat, and is always on the end of the phone to listen to me rant, or join in with me ranting! I couldn’t ask for a more empathetic, caring, lovely woman (with a ridiculous laugh) to be my Mum. I hope she realises how much she means to me…even if I do take the piss out of her inability to pronounce certain words. She’s funny, crazy, super kind, and I love her more than anything.
Happy Birthday Mum. Have a fab day and I’ll see you in two weeks x
