I received some negative comments regarding fundra I received some negative comments regarding fundraising the other day. I’ve gone down every avenue I can before setting up my GoFundMe, I’ve looked at charities and grants, I’ve done everything possible, and wheelchair services have failed me as it’s a postcode lottery. It has taken so much for me to ask for help, I know we’re in a cost of living crisis but I can’t save £13k. PIP is not meant to be saved, like the ridiculous comments I received suggested, and if it was, it would take me 4 years - how am I meant to live with a dangerous, broken wheelchair for that long? Please think before you leave a nasty comment. I do read your comments. If you don’t want to donate, then don’t, move on. And be kind. I CO-CURATED AN EXHIBITION AT A MUSEUM!!!! You ca I CO-CURATED AN EXHIBITION AT A MUSEUM!!!! You can find me in the @thackraymuseum of Medicine in Leeds in a exhibition called Private Parts until 11th May. I can’t even tell you how big of an achievement this is for me and how proud I am of it. The exhibition is so cool; it’s informative, educational, but also really modern, interactive, and combats all the taboos we have surrounding our private parts. I shared my story on health, identity, and pleasure as a plus-size disabled woman. How body positivity and fashion helped boost my confidence, and how strangers seem to think they’re entitled to details about my sex life because I’m a wheelchair user/disabled. I’m so proud of not only co-curating this amazing exhibition but also addressing the stigma surrounding a topic most people find uncomfortable to discuss because we need to be able to have discussions about these things, and I’ve been saying this for a long time. I was meant to be spending Friday shopping in Leeds, I was really excited, it was my first time I’d ever been but after half an hour my wheelchair, as always, let me down. It had been on charge all night but the gauge, and battery are so unreliable, like the rest of the chair, so my day was ruined, and I was gutted, and had to come home early. I’m totally fed up now. I still need to raise over six thousand, and I feel like I’m never going to get there. Every time I use this powerchair something goes wrong and it’s my only way of getting about. I’ve come to the conclusion that although autumn I’ve come to the conclusion that although autumn/winter fashion is my favourite (the coats, the knits, the layers), autumn/winter weather is not. I am done with being freezing all the time. It really doesn’t help that I can’t regulate my body temperature and when I’m cold, I am bitter cold for hours! And it’s painful. I never thought I would be wishing for spring but I really want some sunshine soon. Not too much, just enough so I’m not a complete icicle at all times. What’s your favourite season? I can’t tell you how much I love this jacket. I I can’t tell you how much I love this jacket. I saw it the week before Christmas and fell in love, and then @tomcravenphoto surprised me and got it for me as a Christmas present. So many boyfriend points! It is the softest material ever, it’s so cosy, and I love the colour! I’ve been desperate to get it up on the grid to show it off, and this outfit is one of my faves lately.
