It’s been an absolute age since I did a haul so obviously it was about time I rectified this. My parents gave me my birthday money early and I got a few vouchers for Christmas so went a tad wild on the candle and book front.

My babe, Beth, over at Mermaid in Disguise (go follow her everywhere, she’s the best) did a Body Shop haul and featured a candle she raved about in Vanilla Chai. I knew as soon as I read her post that if she loved it, I’d love it and I needed it in my life. I had no idea The Body Shop even did candles but went in-store and ended up leaving with three.

I’m pretty sure Vanilla Chai and Frosted Berries are from the Christmas line and limited stock so if you want to nab them, I highly recommend you do so soon. I got the Frosted Berries for £7 as it was on sale, and Hawaiian Kukui for £12 as it was the last one and the box was all bashed. They all smell absolutely amazing and I’m so ready to burn them.

Then I treated myself to a Jo Malone candle. I’ve wanted one for so long but never been able to justify that amount of money for a candle. My boyfriends dad gifted me with a John Lewis voucher for Christmas and I instantly knew what I’d be purchasing. I had my eye on three scents; Blackberry and Bay, Oud and Bergamont, and Mimosa and Cardamom. The assistant was so helpful and gave me loads of samples, so now not only do I want five more candles, I want three fragrances too…However, my parents bought me a cologne from my nephew for my thirtieth; so now I only need two.

Finally I spent at least an hour in Waterstones. I’ve always been a huge lover of a bookstore, and Waterstones in Milton Keynes is pretty awesome. I’d seen a few of these books floating around the blogosphere and had to treat myself to see what they were all about. I’d wanted Estee’s book for a while as I love her YouTube channel, so when I saw Bloom was half price, I swiped it up. I’m yet to read any but will no doubt do some reviews if you fancy it.

How good was this haul? Well, it was for me, since all these awesome things belong to me now. I’m definitely going to cosy up with a blanket, a mug of something (probably milk), light a candle and get to reading. Best times.
