I can’t remember the last time I shared a beauty haul but I’m pretty sure it was a while ago. However, fear not, I’m back to show you some goodies I’ve bought (and won) over the last two weeks.

It was my 30th birthday in January and I received a few Boots gift vouchers (which I’m always extremely grateful for as I could spend all my pennies there), so planned on doing a massive NYX haul. The Boots on a retail park near my house had recently got a stand and I wanted to raid that but when I got there, it’d already been ransacked, and I was left with a barren wasteland of products that didn’t particularly interest me, except one. Then like any beauty junkie, I bought a shit load of other stuff that I didn’t need. I mean, I’d been let down by NYX so needed to cheer myself up.

NYX HD Finishing Powder – Translucent | £8 | Boots |

Real Techniques Bold Metals 301 Flat Contour Brush | £22 | Boots |

Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish by Rita Ora – Glaston Berry | £2.99 | Boots |

Rimmel Super Gel Nail Polish – Cocktail Passion | £5.99 | Boots |

Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Liquid Foundation | £5.99 | Boots |

Maybelline Color Show Crystal Nail – Rose Chic | £3.99 | Boots |

I also had a £100 Debenhams voucher that was burning a hole in my pocket and decided at midnight one evening I was going to put myself out of my misery (I’d had the voucher a whole eight hours) and order some makeup.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Colour Correcting Fluid – Pink | £19 | Debenhams |

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick – Bow ‘n Arrow | £17 | Debenhams |

Benefit Hoola Bronzing and Contouring Brush | £18.50 | Debenhams |

Mac Pro Longwear Lip Pencil – Voltage | £15.50 | Debenhams |

I also ordered the Too Faced Born This Way foundation in Snow but had to send it back because it was yellow. It was more like ‘dog piss on snow’. I’ve heard amazing things about that foundation and had wanted it for so long but the lightest shade was so dark and far too warm for my porcelain, milk-bottle skin. I usually end up mixing all my foundations with The Body Shop Lightening Drops but even the foundations I do use and mix are much lighter than Too Faced’s wrongly named Snow. And £29 was a lot of money. It’s the same with the Too Faced Born This Way concealer – it’s far too yellow for me but I’d used it on my face before I realised. Too Faced really need to sort their lighter shades out, they’re an absolute joke.

With the money I had returned for the foundation, I bought the Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer in White Out and a Laura Geller Baked Gelalto Swirl Illuminator in Charming Pink. I took the above picture before these arrived but full reviews will be up shortly. I definitely plan on mixing the KVD concealer with the Too Faced one, maybe then my under-eyes won’t look yellow.

I’ve been ridiculously lucky the last month or so, and when I won some OUAI Haircare on Twitter, because I waited a while for them to be shipped, they threw in some false lashes as an apology. I’ve not tried them yet but they’re by Demure Lashes and in styles Malia and Celine – they look beautiful so can’t wait to test them out.

I’ll also be reviewing a variety of the products mentioned above once I’ve given them a much more thorough testing. Let me know what you’d like to see a review of first.

What have you bought recently?

Jeezo that is one good haul!
I really want some Kat Von D products as I've never tried them but they just seem a bit pricey! If someone got me a voucher then I wouldn't feel as bad forking out the money I suppose! I'll drop hints to the fam for my 21st!

Keep up the fabulous posts chick!

Looks like a fab haul! I love the kvd liquid lipsticks. It's a shame you had to send the born this way foundation back. I'm so unsure on the shade range too, I don't want to risk ordering online x
