I’m a tad late with my August favourites but I didn’t forget, do not worry, they are here! I’m going to jump straight in with the things I was loving last month as my hands can’t handle this typing lark.
Zoella Gelat’Eau Body Mist | £8 | Superdrug |
I won the Zoella Jelly and Gelato collection on Twitter earlier in the month and as soon as I smelled the products I instantly fell in love. These are my first Zoella products and I am really impressed. The body mist is a firm fave because the scent is really fresh and pretty (elderflower jelly and rich double cream), it lasts for ages and I’ve been complimented quite a few times when I’ve worn it out. Not only that but the packaging is incredibly cute and has featured a lot on my Instagram.
L’Oreal Paradise Mascara | £11.99 | Superdrug |
Back in February I included the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara in my Top 10 Holy Grail products and I’m constantly telling anyone that will listen how much I love it. But my friends, I think we’ve found it’s rival. The L’Oreal Paradise mascara is pretty bloody special. It adds volume, length and holds a curl. The formula isn’t too wet and it doesn’t transfer or flake off. The wand is also very similar in shape and size to Better Than Sex, therefore making it easy to coat all individual lashes.
There’s only a £7 price difference between the two but if you’re on a budget and want the Too Faced mascara, try this. Plus, the packaging is rose gold and you can’t beat that.
Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick – Stone | £16 | Beauty Bay |
I included a DOC lipstick in my favourites last month and here I go again. Check that out here.
I talk, wear, photograph, bow down to these liquid lipsticks all the time. I recommend them to anyone that wants to try a new liquid lipstick formula and in all honesty, I’m slightly obsessed with them. DOC is a vegan, cruelty free brand that you can sometimes get on Beauty Bay and they’re SO good. I added five new colours to my collection over the last few weeks and Stone has a special place in my heart. It’s describe as a dusty pink mauve and on my very fair skin it pulls slightly lilac which I really like. The formula is matte but comfortable, there’s no drying or cracking when you wear these lippies. They’re transfer-proof, intensely pigmented and last all day. There’s a reason they’re my favourite and you can read more here. If you don’t own any, you need to make a purchase. I promise you won’t regret it.
OUAI Wave Spray* | £22 | Cult Beauty |
I’m a big fan of OUAI hair products and the Wave Spray didn’t disappoint. It is a fine mist that can be sprayed in wet or dry hair to give perfectly tousled, beachy waves. I first used it on second (maybe third) day, dry hair. I spritzed it from root to tip, scrunched up my hair and immediately the waves began to form. I was really taken aback and took to Instagram Stories right away to show off the results because I’m a bit of a cynic and wasn’t sure how it would work. It put three to four bends in my hair and didn’t feel gritty or crunchy. I then applied it to damp hair and air-dried my locks for that fresh-out-of-the-sea look.
I’m a little bit in love with this product, and as all OUAI products, it smells incredible. Little shout-out to the Rose Hair and Body Oil too, that stuff is glorious. Will hopefully get my hands on the Memory Mist soon, I need that in my life.
Tangle Angel – Precious Pink* | £12.95 | Tangle Angel |
I’ve been eyeing up a Tangle Angel for a while so when I had an email asking if I wanted to try one, I was all over it. I decided to go for Precious Pink as it matches my everything and although I expected it to be good, I didn’t think it would replace all my other brushes. I have literally not picked up my Wet Brush, my Tangle Teezer (and I have three), my round brushes, none of them in the last month. To be fair, I’ve not picked up my Tangle Angel much as my hands are so painful that my boyfriend has been brushing my hair, but we both adore it.
It’s amazing on both wet and dry hair, it doesn’t tug at all and it detangles knots like a dream. The brush is antibacterial, anti-static, heat and water resistant, and designed so you can hold it around the wings as well as the handle. It comes in a variety of colours, finishes and sizes. If you’re looking for a new brush that is a dream at detangling and is aesthetically pleasing, get this.
I really need to try the new paradise mascara I have heard so many good things xoxo

I've recently been getting into Ouai products and I've been loving their texture spray! That wave spray sounds really awesome as well though 🙂

I need to try OUAI. All of their products sound amazing. Ive never really tried a wave spray that doesn't just leave my hair crispy. Of course I am also obsessed with DOC and I need more in my life. I will probably own them all one day. I've still not smelt any of the Zoella products but they are all so beautiful
