How did we get to May already? I feel like I blinked and lost a month. Anyway a recap of April – it was pretty uneventful and I spent the majority of it in a flare, and still am – chronic life joys. I’ve revamped my Instagram though, and am actually really loving it. Oh, and I have a giveaway live over there, so go and check it out, you could win a limited edition Jouer Cosmetics highlighter.
Speaking of Jouer Cosmetics…
Jouer Cosmetics Springtime in Paris Eyeshadow Palette | £35 | Cult Beauty |
As soon as this collection launched, I knew I had to have this eyeshadow palette, I’m such a palette junkie and these colours are very much my cup of tea. I luckily nabbed it when Cult Beauty had a 15% discount too, so that was an added bonus. The palette comes with twelve buttery shadows, a mixture of mattes and shimmers, that blend effortlessly and are really pigmented. I love the array of colours, the purple and pink tones are so pretty and are definitely what made me gravitate towards this palette. The packaging is small and great for travelling or putting in your makeup bag for top-ups throughout the day. If you’re thinking of getting this, pick it up soon before it sells out.
Vincent Longo Cosmetics La Bella Luce Highlighter – Flora* | £24.50 | Cult Beauty |
Have you ever seen a highlighter like this? I certainly hadn’t until this arrived on my doorstep. A finely milled, marbled formula with tones of pink, pearl and champagne that gives such an intense, beautiful glow. Actually let me rephrase that, it’s bloody blinding. The combination of colours is so perfect for my pale skin, I’m loving it. It also has great staying power and melts into the skin.
Nouveau Lashes Lash & Lid Foaming Cleanser* | £14.99 | Nouveau Lashes |
So, this product doesn’t actually launch until Monday but I’ve been playing around with it for a few weeks and let me tell you, I’m impressed. If you’re a mascara wearer, I’m sure you’ll have removed (or think you have) all of your makeup, gone to bed with a seemingly fresh face and woke up the next morning with lashes like spider legs and panda eyes. Ain’t nobody got time for that. With this genius product from Nouveau which can be used on your natural lashes, LVL’s and extensions, it removes all the products from your (you guessed it) lashes and lids. It is a really gentle foaming cleanser, that is hypoallergenic and can be used on the most sensitive of eyes. I first used it with my fingers but was sent the mini brush last week which has been developed to work alongside the product.
I personally prefer using the brush as I feel like it removes all my makeup from the roots of my lashes and the dense bristles are gentle on the eye. Not only that but if I’ve worn eye makeup during the day and want to completely change it up in the evening, the brush gives me the option of removing the eyeshadow without taking off my foundation and brows. Lazy girl hack, right there. Keep an eye out (pun intended) for its launch.
L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint/Matte – Hollywood Beige | £6.99 | Superdrug |
Hollywood Beige is quite possibly the prettiest pink nude I have worn in a while. It’s so flattering and it’s mainly included in my faves because I love the colour so much. I also really like the packaging and the doe-foot applicator that is designed to hug the lips. These are all major positives, however, after a few hours wear the pigment seems to slip off the centre of my lips. Although it’s matte, it doesn’t dry down like your usual liquid lipstick, it’s more like a conventional matte lipstick but in liquid form. Despite the negatives, I still keep reaching for this lippy as it’s really comfortable to wear and like I said, the shade is beautiful. Plus, for £6.99 I’m happy to reapply a few times during the day.
Kiss Lash Couture – Little Black Dress* | £7.99 | Superdrug |
Kiss Lash Couture – Midnight* | £7.99 | Superdrug |
These stunning faux mink, 100% cruelty free lashes are everything. If you’ve not stopped by here before, you might not know I’m fairly new to falsies but now, I’m a little bit addicted. And I’m so glad I got my hands on these babes. Both LDB and Midnight are voluminous, glamorous and extremely lightweight. They’re reusable up to ten times and super comfortable to wear. I absolutely love the effect they give and I can’t wait to wear them again. Pics coming to Instagram, very soon.
And finally, I have to give an extra shout-out to Indy Luxe*. I’ve been testing out these brushes for a few weeks and been desperate to show them off. They currently have two beautiful sets, the Pink Pearlescent Unicorn brushes, which I have below, and the stunning Rose Gold set. The brushes are so soft, such good quality and absolutely bloody gorgeous – I mean, think of all the cute pics you can take of them! Ah the blogger life.
If you fancy getting your own set, (why wouldn’t you?) you can get 20% off using code: WONDERLAND
