Anastasia Beverly Hills is pretty much the queen of brow products, so when the Brow Definer was released, I immediately added it to my basket and pretty much lived on my doorstep until it was delivered, (okay, slight exaggeration, but it was highly anticipated). I’ve got both the Dip Brow Pomade and Brow Wiz, so testing this out was a must.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer – Medium Brown | £16 | Beauty Bay |
I’ve been using this non-stop for the whole two months that I’ve had it, and I really like it. Similar to the Brow Wiz, it’s dual-ended, with a spoolie on one side for blending, and the product on the other. The shape of the Brow Definer is unique as it has a wide, angled tip which can be used two different ways. The wide side is used to define the shape of the brows, and the tip to fill in the rest, it can also be used to create small hair-like strokes making the eyebrows look on fleek. The consistency of the product is fairly hard but it makes it easier to create brow hairs, and if you mess up, it’s easily rectifiable due to the small amount of pigment it lays down. As for longevity – my brows always look perfect at the end of the day.
The spoolie on the Brow Definer is a lot bigger than the Brow Wiz and I wasn’t sure whether I’d like it but after using it a few times I got used to it and it combs through the brows really well and blends product evenly.
The Brow Definer is so much easier to use than the other ABH products I have because of the wider part; it’s really simple to underline the brow. I also really like how many colours are available, there will definitely be a colour to suit everyone. I use medium brown, which is a pale chocolate brown with cool undertones, and works perfectly with my (dark brown with caramel highlights) hair.
My only critique is that the sharp tip becomes rounded and dull very quickly. It’s still easy to use and get a sharp line but not so easy to create the little flicks at the beginning part of the eyebrow.
Do I like it more than the Brow Wiz? I’m not sure, I’ll get back to you on that one.
