My love for Make Up Geek is real. They’re inexpensive, excellent quality and have a wide array of colours. I’ve been filling my palettes for over a year, I didn’t just go mad and buy them all at once, I have some restraint, believe it or not, but I did purchase the Starter Kit ($49) that contains nine shadows, hand-picked by Marlena, the owner of MUG. You can’t go wrong with the Starter Kit, it has a great selection of mattes and shimmers, and it’ll save you money.
The quality of both the eye shadow and blushers are superb. They’re everything a make up geek will appreciate, they’re highly pigmented, blend effortlessly and look stunning. The foiled shadows are a dream; when I received my first lot of foils, I swatched them, squealed and did a happy dance. They glide on like butter and go from cream to powder on the skin. They have a metallic finish and amplify any look. I love them. I have a soft spot for Starry Eyed.
As for shipping – it’s actually fairly reasonable but if your order is large or heavy, you will get stung with a customs charge. I’ve made quite a few orders (as you can tell) and was only charged once and it was because I’d bought sixteen shadows and the pink Z palette. I can’t tell you the amount of pans to buy to avoid charges but I know only ever buy eight shadows at once.

I highly recommend Make Up Geek, they’re such an affordable brand with high-quality product. I reach for my MUG palettes most often as I have so many colours which enables me to create a variety of different looks.
Have you ever tried Make Up Geek?
