Do you change up your lipstick colour with the season? I never thought I did but I do tend to gravitate towards brighter, bolder shades in the warmer months. I wear them when it’s A/W too just not as often. I guess I’m a ‘whatever I feel like’ kinda girl. If it’s October, raining and miserable, I’ll throw on a bright orange if that’s the aesthetic for the day. I mean, I live in the UK, there’s not a lot of opportunities to match up bright shades with the sun.
Anyway, if you are someone that goes with the seasons, I have six vibrant shades you need to check out.
Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick – Coachella Coral | £24 | Charlotte Tilbury |
I picked this because I love the colour, it’s not too bright but there’s a little something there that takes it out of the ‘nude’ category. It’s a satin finished light pinky-coral that is very opaque and really comfortable to wear. It’s a great choice if you’re scared of colour and want to start off with something less intimidating than a fuchsia.
Nars Audacious Lipstick – Greta | £25 | Nars |
I have a true love affair with the Audacious lippies; I have a lot, and Greta is newer to my collection but becoming one of my favourites. Shes’s (yes, I’m personifying a lipstick) a bright pinky-red that is so pigmented and lasts for at least six hours. Greta glides on effortlessly, doesn’t tug on the lips and makes them look so plump and pouty, I love it so much.
Top to Bottom: CT – Coachella Coral, Nars – Greta, Clinique – Rose Pop, Mac – Impassioned, JC – Suzy Starr, Evelyn |
Clinique Matte Lip Colour and Primer – Rose Pop | £16.50 | Clinique |
I first saw Sam from Pixiwoo wearing this lipstick in a video a few months ago, she looked so bloody beautiful and I had to have it. Rose Pop is one of those pink-berry shades that some might argue is a little too deep for Spring/Summer but I think it’s just right for all year round. It’s a comfortable matte that doesn’t settle into fine lines, is moisturising and doesn’t feather. The colour is everything, it’s very slightly deeper than Greta – but obviously I had to have both.
Mac Lipstick – Impassioned | £16.50 | Mac |
This was one of my first high end bright lipsticks, and I still love it as much as I did when I first purchased it. It’s a warm pink-coral that is super creamy and lightweight. It’s opaque with one swipe and lasts at least five hours before needing reapplication.
Joan Collins Divine Lips Lipstick – Suzy Starr* | £18 | Joan Collins Timeless Beauty |
Joan Collins Divine Lips Lipstick – Evelyn* | £18 | Joan Collins Timeless Beauty |
Oh em gee, these lipsticks are so bloody beautiful. They’re incredibly pigmented, very hydrating and buttery af. I was actually shocked when I first applied Evelyn at how creamy it was. The formula is also meant to improve the hydration levels of the lips after 30 days. I don’t know about that as I rarely wear the same lipstick on consecutive days but I’ve worn both shades a few times and they’re so moisturising; they almost feel like an intensely pigmented lip balm, yet they don’t disappear after twenty minutes like some lip balms. The staying power is really good and lasts about five hours without bleeding or feathering. Suzy Star is described as a coral but it’s on the orange side of coral. Evelyn a more pink toned coral a tad lighter than the similar shades already mentioned. I love both shades and am so impressed with the formula.
I have been meaning to pick up impassioned for I kid you not, years! It's such a truly bright beautiful shade perfect for Spring! I am desperate to try more Clinique Pop lipsticks because the formula to me is so perfect and lightweight xx

Clinique Rose Pop looks and sounds gorgoeus! I'm far too safe with lipstick and normally stick to my nudes unless I go for a red for a night out. I think it's time I started trying some bolder looks!xx
